A timeline of Our Pride in Place community feedback and involvement work

Friday 6th November 2025
On Thursday, the team kicked off visits to neighbourhoods to feed back on the conversations we had in the summer. We had a really productive time at the Kilmarnock Road Centre, joining in the Pop-up Hub event. We managed to catch up with four people we spoke with previously and on the whole they agreed on the priorities. There is lots of work happening in Manor, by Hartlepool Borough council and partners and this was directly informed by people -work includes:
-
Pinero Grove - Overgrown Weeds & Grass Edging
-
Galsworthy Road - Clearing Fly Tipping, Cutting Overgrown Grass & Tidying Up
-
Community Skip from Cleveland Fire Brigade on Masefield Road
-
High Visibility Neighbourhood Police Patrols (Including Removing Potential Bonfire near Homes near Marlowe Road)
-
Installed Off-Road Bike Deterrents on Masefield Road
-
Working with Young People at Kilmarnock Centre to design Community Mural for the side of the Building
Today, Friday we are over at the Rift House Centre to chat with people, from this we would love to find people who might want to be involved in setting further priorities and decision making for their community and have arranged community chats. These will be:
20th November:
Kilmarnock Road Centre 1.30pm-2.30pm.
West Rugby Club 5pm-6pm.
You can let us know if you plan on coming by emailing: communityengagement@hartlepoolcommunitytrust.org.uk
Meet the team - Donna
Donna has joined our team for Pride in Place after volunteering her time during the summer. She does lots for the community including running a weekly peer support group for parents of SEN children in Middleton Grange Family Hub.
Donna said of Thursday "I had the opportunity to talk with a range of people, including a parent who was genuinely interested in our work as part of the Pride of Place project. I explained the neighborhood surveys we have conducted, which sparked a good conversation about our community initiatives. Another parent asked about the lighting, noting that it was listed as the number one improvement on our board, which showed me how engaged people are with local issues."
