“In every corner of our lives and our country, civil society can be found. In every community and every city and town, civil society plays its vital triple role: bringing people together, campaigning to solve pressing problems, and providing services – particularly to those who are otherwise marginalised and overlooked. And from improving the nation’s health to boosting economic growth, when it comes to achieving the change that everyone agrees is needed, civil society is essential to each and every goal.” From the Law Family Commission on Civil Society report  “Unleashing the power of civil society” (January 2023). Hartlepool Community Trust’s mission is to support, connect, champion & strengthen civil society in Hartlepool

Hartlepool Community Trust and Hartlepower CIC share an origin – the vision and early actions of a small group of Hartlepool residents with a shared passion for improving life for people in Hartlepool. Now separate organisations, independently governed and with different overlapping missions, there remains a close working relationship between the two.

Hartlepower CIC generously supports the charity by providing space in their Greenbank premises, free of charge. The CIC also plans to support Hartlepool Community Trust financially as soon as it is able. To discover more about Hartlepower CIC click the button below.
